Imperial Tobacco is part of the Imperial Brands group and together with its subsidiaries manufacture and market a range of cigarettes, fine cut and smokeless tobacco products, mass market cigars, and tobacco accessories such as papers and tubes. Key Imperial Tobacco subsidiaries include Reemtsma in Germany, Altadis in Spain and Seita in France as well as the Imperial Tobacco businesses in the UK, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
We have worked with Imperial Tobacco on several projects. This particular project; Smoke Spots was developed to establish the Smoke Spots website as the leading informational and conversational site for smokers. The site allowed people to see where they can and can’t smoke, browse articles in the community blog and enter competitions. Users were able to search for Venues, siting London, Bristol and Glasgow as top cities. Through registration, users were also able to add their own venues. Events where smoking is allowed were listed and registered users could create their own events.
An app using the website data was also developed to work alongside the website.
